Previously trading as Smith Bros & Webb Ltd, Britannia Wash Systems are a market-leading manufacturer of commercial vehicle wash systems, which they supply to facilities management and transport organisations across the world. Their robust and durable vehicle wash bays thoroughly clean trucks, coaches, trains, buses and commercial vehicles while allowing businesses to decrease their wash times and save money on water.
Sixis Group first invested in Britannia in 2009 and have since worked with the business to develop their offering of automated vehicle wash systems. Britannia have expanded their capabilities across all areas of facilities management, designing and manufacturing innovative systems and developing servicing contracts for their equipment.
In addition to their world-renowned vehicle wash system, Britannia manufacture a water reclamation unit to facilitate high rates of water reuse. The water-saving system integrates with Britannia’s vehicle wash bays to reclaim up to 95% of the water used in a single wash cycle, lowering water expenditure while protecting the planet.
Further underscoring the company’s commitment to improving their environmental impact, in 2021, Britannia began manufacturing the Mobile Segregation Units for waste and recycling experts The Green Block. These devices dramatically improve recycling rates in high-footfall locations and have been installed at several major UK rail stations, airports and shopping centres.
